Evacote™ Precision Spray Environments

For a perfect finish, leave nothing to chance. EVACOTE™ Spray Booth comes standard with sophisticated layers of control.

To ensure even air flow through the heating elements, fans are speed controlled using invertors and differential pressure sensors. As well as providing an even airflow through the cabin, it also provides excellent temperature uniformity.

As temperature is critical to the spray process, we locate our control temperature probes at the heating source and throughout the cabin to ensure even temperature control. These sensors are used in our specially designed control algorithm which also incorporates TUS data to ensure the working zone is well within specification. Depending on the cabin size our booths can have a temperature tolerance of +/- 3 to +/- 8 DegC.

All these elements combine to provide a world class spray booth.

TUS Pack

To aid Quality Engineers in Thermal Uniformity Surveying, we offer unique options to simplify and accelerate the process. The basic option is a specially manufactured thermocouple holder which mounts directly onto the machine. This ensures consistency in the location of TUS probes from test to test.

The advanced TUS option also includes a pre-programmed Eurotherm 6100 recorder in carry case. This recorder links to the Evacote™ software, and with just one click from the Quality Engineer, adjusts the temperature set-points to conform with the TUS standards.

Over-temperature protection

To comply with NADCAP requirements an independent over-temperature protection option is available.

Heating type

WIS Group can provide booths with the following heat sources depending on the site requirements:

  • Gas Fired Burner
  • Steam Battery
  • Electrical Heating Elements

Cabin Size

WIS Group offer standard cabin sizes as outlined in the Technical Specifications section, but can also offer bespoke designs. This includes L-shaped and U-shaped booths to cater for specific site requirements. We can also integrate robots, catenary systems and conveyors into our cabins.

Maintenance Pack

The first line of defence in avoiding downtime is the on-site maintenance team. That’s why we offer a comprehensive maintenance pack including:

  • One week of training at WIS facility during pre-shipment commissioning for up to five delegates (excludes travel and accommodation)
  • One fully configured maintenance laptop with pre-loaded diagnostics software

Need a turn-key solution for paint, maskant or adhesive spraying? Now you can achieve unrivalled uniformity, even in large cabin sizes. Add robotics or catenary systems to obtain complete process automation.

Control Panel Location

All the advanced hardware is located in a bespoke master control panel normally adjacent to the cabins to support maintenance and easy access to critical components. Process information and data recording equipment is normally mounted on the front of this panel, but this can be remotely mounted if the master panel needs to be in another location.

Operator Interface

The standard operator interface is a 12” colour touchscreen that supports configuration, storage and retrieval of recipes. The data logging is performed by a graphic recorder and records are accessed through the recorder touchscreen, exported or downloaded to USB.

A more advanced option is the Computer Controlled SCADA system which has the following advantages:

  • Unlimited recipes
  • Interface to corporate network allowing for remote report viewing
  • Barcode interface to allow part booking on machine
  • Interface with part tracking system to automatically book jobs off when complete
  • Interface with data records to allow viewing without USB download
